Show Notes:

When it comes to the Learning Management System (LMS) and the Learning Experience Platform (LXP), the difference is in the ‘driver’ of the learning journey. For the former, it’s the learning administrator who ‘assigns’ the training – admin-driven, while for the latter it’s the learner who chooses from the available learning content – learner-driven. However, it’s not as black and white as it looks. While putting the learner in the driver’s seat is important for learner engagement and learning stickiness, ensuring that the mandatory training is taken up by the learners as well is critical to the success of the Learning & Development function.

So how do businesses, L&D in particular, choose between an LMS and an LXP? Or can you get the best of both worlds – Learning Management System with the (artificial) intelligence of a Learning Experience Platform?
